Based on a combat game, Bloodshot was meant to bring the game characters to life and give fans the ultimate experience.

Vin Diesel plays the role of Ray Garrison, a fallen (newly resurrected) soldier with a chronic vendetta. He makes an impression on the brilliant Dr. Emil Harting (played by Guy Pearce) and not to mention the tactful K .T (played by Eiza Gonzalez), his resilience being his strongest feature. At the mercy of his vengeful demeanor, Ray sets out to kill the person who killed his wife.

Personally, I found the film to be mind-blowing. The sci-fi gadgets, human regeneration and the concept of simulation, which is always fascinating yet still creepy to me, were all expertly presented in the story. The action stunts, though a tad off the top, are quite involving. The fistfights, gun exchange, and tech gadgets are quite thrilling. At some point, I felt like I was also in the film tussling with the bad guys.

Now, what is a good film without some good humor? Lamorne Morris perfectly delivers on the comedy starring the eccentric and funny geek character, Wilfred Wigans, who forms an unlikely alliance with Ray.

Although the game fans felt the lack of similarities between the movie characters and game characters, for instance, the bald Ray Garrison, there is a fairly good amount of love coming from the fans towards the Bloodshot cast.

If you’re a sci-fi action fan and haven’t watched Bloodshot yet, make a point to do so. It’s available now on Amazon Prime Video, at your nearest movie shop and on torrent/movie websites.
